Chicago Tribune Crafts Column

If you live anywhere that you have access to the Chicago Tribune and get the Sunday paper, watch for me by the Puzzle Island section. My column comes out once a month on Sundays and features a fun and easy craft project for kids and adults. This past week’s column was painted strawberry pots and last month was a fabric flower. Next month will be a cute beach themed craft your kids will love!

I love the painting flower pots idea, but I called two places asking for OUTDOOR acrylic paint, both claimed all acrylic paint is outdoor paint–that there was no difference. I called Home Depot and Starving Artist. I’m wondering where to find outdoor acrylic paint, so I don’t have to seal it too!

Hi Patricia. The paint that I used (that I wasn’t able to name by brand in the column) was Patio Paint. It’s available at most craft supply stores such as Michael’s, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn’s. It’s made by DecoArt. 🙂
