Playpennies for Pennywise Parents posted their choice for 8 of the Best Children’s Craft Sites yesterday and included Crafts by Amanda among them. I’m honored to be joining company with greats such as Martha Stewart Crafts, Spoonful and Nick Jr. Crafts! Thanks so much for including Crafts by Amanda!

Both Crafts by Amanda and Fun Family Crafts were chosen among the top 10 craft sites for grandkids by Grand Magazine, the Digital Magazine for Grandparents and Their Families. Kaboose.com, where I have over 500 projects under my belt, was also included in the top 10 list. I am honored to be chosen by Grand Magazine and truly appreciate the recognition. So glad that my crafts are bringing joy to little ones everywhere!

iVillage, a Division of NBC Universal, has featured several of my crafts in the past on their website. This year they are featuring a large selection of Easter crafts for kids, including my cardboard tube bunny family.

A few weeks ago I was approached by Movable Media, and through this new relationship, began writing articles for Proctor & Gamble. P&G runs the popular website Home Made Simple as well as P&G Everyday. I’ve been writing furiously, finishing assignments as quickly as their giving them to me, and I’m really loving it. Most of the freelance work I’ve done in the last few years have been craft projects and recipe development. P&G only requires that I write and it’s been a joy!

My articles will begin to appear on their sites starting in February. I will be sharing links to those articles via my food and craft blogs and on Facebook. Thanks to Movable Media for reaching out and to P&G for the opportunity. You can see my bio on Home Made Simple here.

I recently completed an assignment for Parents.com, the website for Parents Magazine. They asked me to make a collection of toddler friendly Christmas ornaments for them. You can see the completed pieces here — 6 Toddler-Friendly Christmas Ornaments to Make. Thank you Parents, always a pleasure working with Meredith Corporation.

Cheryl had said that she was trying to incorporate more splashes of yellow into her decor, so that made up my mind right there. I combined creamy colors like Buttermilk with different yellow shades to come up with this design. Thanks Cheryl for allowing me to create this plaque for you!
