Back in April I had this idea. I knew that I had gazillions of recipes bookmarked on my computer and earmarked in my cookbooks, and I knew I had a group of food blogger friends in the same boat. I know we all would make recipes from other blogs and blog about them ourselves, but something I realized was that we never seemed to do this with each others’ blogs. So I had this idea.
I asked if anyone would be interested in blogging recipes from each others’ blogs, but to make it fun, we could treat it like a Secret Sister Club, along the same lines as a Secret Santa. Basically, there’s a group of food bloggers that are mixed up in a hat. Everyone gets to draw a name out of the hat and bake or cook something from that blog. Thing is… it’s a secret. You can’t tell, at least not until reveal day.
And so it began with 19 participants. it more than doubled the second month, and then again the third month. So now it has its own website and is a huge, and fun, success! Stop by The Secret Recipe Club to read more about how it works.
